A reliable, low-maintenance adaptable vacuum source for any or , the MSC Vacuum Control Console will give decades of service in any paper or textile conservation laboratory.  Attach the intake hose to a suction table and perform treatments like tideline and stain removal, tape removal, linings, spot leafcasting, drying, flattening, and many other treatments and repairs that require the use of powerful suction. 

Control the level of suction easily using the MSC Vacuum Control Console’s speed controller dial.  For additional treatment possibilities, each console features an integrated air compressor with an airbrush attachment. 

APPLICATION

Flip on the power switch to power up the unit.  Connect an intake hose from a suction table or suction device to the unit, and then turn on the suction motor switch to activate vacuum power.  Control the level of vacuum indicated on the vacuum gauge by adjusting the speed controller dial.  High levels of vacuum are used for spot cleaning or area treatment functions, and lower levels of vacuum can be used for large area treatments such as drying and flattening.

The MSC Vacuum Control Console comes in either a single motor or dual motor configuration.  Single Motor consoles can pull a maximum airflow of up to 100 CFM (170 meters cubed per hour) and create a maximum vacuum level of up to 25 kpa (100 inches of h2o).

Dual Motor Consoles double that airflow, pulling up to 200 CFM (340 meters cubed per hour) while still maintaining a vacuum level of 25 kpa (100 inches of h2o).  Either console can sustain these levels for extended periods of time. 

The integrated air compressor has a maximum pressure of 60 psi and features an on/off toggle for use.

FEATURES

Each unit is on casters for ease of movement around the lab. 

Constructed of high density polyethylene (HDPE), clean up is as easy as wiping down with soap and water.  Regular maintenance is minimal and includes surface cleaning, checking the activated charcoal solvent filter at regular intervals, and emptying the fluid trap pan inside of the access door on the unit.

Vacuum motors inside the console feature noise filters, and the entire unit is padded inside with noise-reducing foam.  Connect an exhaust hose to the MSC Vacuum Control Console to vent out a door or window to cut down on noise even further.
